Tone on tone colour palettes have been a strong trend in recent seasons representing multiple industries through advertising campaigns, editorials, interiors and on the runways. Tactile Trends highlighted this trend early last year through Ferm Livings 10th anniversary look book and have continued to track the trend through the last year.

Tone on Tone

With the trend for tone on tone set to stay, this months colour trend capsule focusses on red, a colour we have seen trending on the AW18/19 catwalks and combined with beauty and accessories for maximum effect head to toe dressing.

Coming up you will find mood and colour direction representing what we believe is a sophisticated and universal range of reds for head to toe dressing.

Crimson Earth - Mood

Crimson Earth - Colour

Here we show a universal range of reds from ruby through to earth tones. This is a palette that will suit beauty and fashion alike and shows how the colours work in a range of fabric textures.

Tonal shades of earthy crimson are rich in eyelash lace, sensual in satin and bold in head to toe looks.
Butter soft calves leather contrasts against sheer organza ribbons giving depth and textural interest to this tonal palette.

Takeaways

  • Tone on tone is set to stay through to Autumn/Winter 18/19 at least
  • Red will be a feature colour group for tonal head to toe dressing
  • For maximum effect match beauty and accessories
